The ASA Aircraft Inspection, Repair & Alterations AC43.13-2025 (Softcover) is the definitive reference for aviation maintenance professionals. This comprehensive volume integrates two foundational FAA Advisory Circulars—AC 43.13-1B and AC 43.13-2B—updated as of May 2024. It provides extensive FAA-accepted procedures and practices for repairing and altering aircraft when manufacturer documentation is unavailable.
AC 43.13-1B details inspection techniques, material handling, health and safety protocols, and structural repairs involving wood, metal, fabric, composites, and systems such as engines, propellers, and avionics. It includes chapters on nondestructive testing, corrosion control, hardware usage, electrical systems, and more.
AC 43.13-2B complements this with focused guidelines on component and system installation, including emergency systems, lighting, and aircraft accessories for both fixed-wing and rotorcraft. These standards are critical for AMTs, repair stations, and aircraft owners maintaining aircraft under 12,500 lbs gross weight.
This updated softcover edition is richly illustrated and includes a glossary and abbreviation list, making it an indispensable tool for students, technicians, and instructors preparing for FAA certification exams or ensuring airworthiness in the field.
