AeroLEDs - SunSpot 36-4313 HX Aircraft Landing Light w/pulse, 14V

AeroLED’s SunSpot Landing Light 36HX weighs only 11.5 oz. yet outputs 11,000 lumens and 150,000 candela. The SunSpot 36 series is a 2x winner of AV Consumers of LED Landing Lights (find details on the ‘Best LED Landing Light’ page). AeroLED’s SunSpot Landing Lights 36 Series consumes less power, is not affected by vibration like incandescent bulbs and outputs more lumens. These lights are perfect for many flight applications, including certified commercial, military, business jets, and experimental planes. AeroLEDs offers several PAR 36 LED Landing and Taxi Light drop-in replacement options. The SunSpot series has a wider beam output that illuminates an object's color better due to the blue-green color temperature of an LED as opposed to the orange-red color temperature of a traditional incandescent lamp that displays “grayed” out images. With a powerful output of 11,000 lumens, you can fly in optimal safety with AeroLEDs! This aviation light is rated to last over 30,000 hours in continuous operation. FAA, STC, and PMA certified with a 5-year warranty.

About AeroLEDs SunSpot 36 Series Lamps

AeroLEDs SunSpot 36 Certified LED landing and taxi lights consume less power, output more lumens (total light output), and are not affected by vibrations than incandescent bulbs. These attributes make the SunSpot ideal for experimental, certified, commercial, and military aircraft. The SunSpot series outputs a wider beam that illuminates an object's color due to the blue-green color temperature instead of “grayed” out images from an incandescent lamp's orange-red color temperature. AeroLEDs offers several SunSpot 36 (PAR 36) drop-in replacement options that are PMA and STC certified.

LX vs. HX

The SunSpot 36 Series LX performs as a standard light with the constant “on” mode. The HX version includes an integrated Pulse or WigWag feature that greatly increases recognition in broad daylight and night operation to avoid midair collisions. Additionally, while in the recognition mode, the SunSpot’s draw half the current. AeroLEDs recommends that the pilot switch to Pulse or WigWag after takeoff and remain in this mode throughout each flight. The SunSpot series lights are designed to be mounted in the Wingtips, leading-edge, cowling, or landing gear. If you have a PAR 36 ring mount, the SunSpot 36 series will fit your aircraft.
